Sports: Metaphor for Metaphor for Tr-th
I don't have much to say in response (or maybe I do but I'm not willing to admit it), but this article is one awesome piece of sports journalism. It's superficially about Michael Vick and about killing dogs, but it's really about American history and "race." Er.... race. Well?--which is it?

...interesting how silent we all are in response?
When I first heard of Resident Evil 5, I remember thinking "that's probably a mistake." But, I didn't think of it as a serious issue until I talked to Sam about it. Even then, I didn't quite think the situation was as serious as people were making it out to be.
What has changed my mind is scrolling through the comments to Resident Evil 5 discussions or reading some of the letters Bryant cites in his letter. They not only disgust me, but also disturb me. I completely agree with Sam--those comments speak of an uncanny combination of ignorance and anger that should remind us how serious a task still lays before us.
